Manager oversees all bar operations, from staff hiring, training, and scheduling to inventory, budgeting, and ensuring high customer satisfaction and safety compliance, focusing on profitability and a positive guest experience through leadership, financial acumen, marketing, and excellent service standards in a dynamic environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesStaff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, motivate, discipline, and oversee bartenders, barbacks, and sometimes servers/kitchen staff.Inventory & Ordering: Manage stock levels, order supplies, control waste, and maintain vendor relationships.Financial Management: Handle budgets, monitor costs (labor, inventory), track sales, and ensure profitability.Operations & Compliance: Ensure cleanliness, organization, adherence to health/safety laws, and smooth daily operations.Customer Experience: Address complaints, build loyalty, plan promotions/events, and ensure memorable service.Menu & Marketing: Develop drink/food menus, maintain recipes, and support marketing efforts (social media, events). Essential Skills & QualificationsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Expertise in alcoholic beverages, mixology, and POS systems.Budgeting and financial management abilities.Knowledge of health, safety, and liquor laws.Experience in bartending/hospitality.
