Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Banquets Sales Manager located in Surat. The Banquets Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales by managing and growing catering and banquet bookings. This includes actively reaching out to potential clients, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, creating tailored event plans, and overseeing event execution to ensure client satisfaction. The role also entails collaborating with the events team to meet revenue targets, developing detailed sales strategies, and delivering excellent customer service throughout the event planning and execution stages.

Achieves catering sales goals by developing and implementing sales strategies

  • Identifies potential key accounts (banquet and group) and develops strategies to prioritize and penetrate those accounts
  • Makes outside sales calls to prospective catering customers
  • Clarifies customer requirements and suggests alternative menus, themes, etc.
  • Prepares proposals for client which outline details of proposed functions; coordinates preparation of estimates with food and beverage and other departments if needed
  • Negotiates sale of catering sales functions
  • Conducts on-site client inspections to illustrate available services, know meeting and sleeping room set-ups and capabilities
  • Monitors customer satisfaction with catering business; follows-up with key contacts on a regular basis to assess satisfaction
  • Ensure all materials used are in accordance with brand standards

Maintains proper flow of information to sales team, reviews work file of assigned accounts

  • Communicates clients requests to all departments in an effective and timely manner
  • Works with sales team for additional business opportunities as appropriate
  • Assists in reviewing the function book and conducts evaluation of releasing or finalizing functions

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations

  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
  • Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems

Qualifications

  • Strong Sales Management and Sales skills with a proven ability to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Experience in Catering Sales and Event Planning, with an understanding of creating customized event packages and solutions.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills and a focus on client satisfaction to foster long-term business relationships.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry or banquet sales is advantageous.
