The Messe Global Convention Center is a modern, state-of-the-art venue offering a 30,000 sq. ft. fully air-conditioned, pillarless indoor space with a seating capacity of 5,500 and a floating capacity of 10,000 guests. Perfect for large-scale events such as conferences, trade shows, concerts, and social gatherings, it features advanced ceiling lighting, a cutting-edge audio-visual system, and high-speed internet services. Adhering to international safety standards, the center also offers on-site exhibition services.

Role Description

The Banquet Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City. This role involves managing and driving banquet and event sales, ensuring client satisfaction, and overseeing the planning and execution of events. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining client relationships, identifying sales opportunities, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring smooth event operations to meet revenue and service quality goals.

Banquet Sales Manager you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:-

  • Marketing and selling Weddings, Exhibition, conference and banqueting facilities. Scheduling reservations. Operating the facility profitably. Planning well so each event runs smoothly. Checking all bills are paid on time. Managing your food and beverage team. Coordinating with banquet operations and kitchen. Briefing staff and checking the venue set-up before the event. Ensuring the venue is turned around, ready for the next event. Assigning targets to sales executives and tele callers. Ensuring the targets are achieved within stipulated time.
  • Actively promote the services and facilities of Messe Global Convention Center to guests and suppliers.
  • Positively deal with and learn from customer complaints and comments with follow-up and feedback to the Catering Manager / Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Assist with communication to the Wedding, Conference, Event Management teams about functions that concern them.
  • Describe, assign and delegate duties and authority for the operation of the Catering department at all times.
  • Plan ahead and ensure adequate resources are available.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Housekeeping departments to ensure that cleaning is followed-up with and procedures are maintained.
  • Sending Banquet event proposals to the guests and being in timely contact with them. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals.
  • Maintaining the entire sales correspondence database. Maintain all client information and folders.
  • Coordinate with Banquet operations on a timely basis to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Promptly respond to all inquiries & follow-ups on regular basis.
  • Preparing function FPS and coordinating with F&B for smooth operation Overall responsibility of sales generation for high end exclusive banquet & events.
  • Be a one point of contact & a consultant to guest from the first call till the day of the event
  • Contracting bookings and raising invoices
  • Responding to and coordinating all internal meeting requests
  • Assisting in implementing the sales strategy
  • Ensure monthly sales & forecast report to send to the management.
  • Maintain retention of regular customer & ensure procure new & repeat business for the Veune by maintaining regular contact with the customers.

Requirements and Skill:-

  • Bachelor's degree / diploma in hospitality or in the related field.
  • 4-5years of experience in banquet Sales management, or similar.
  • Exceptional ability to sale banquets/venue, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, Marathi.

Designation & Remuneration: Will be allotted based on the candidate's experience and previous designation.
