Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer / API Tester with 4–7 years of hands-on experience in Banking domain testing and REST/SOAP API testing. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Net Banking and/or Mobile Banking applications, along with solid knowledge of functional, regression, and integration testing.

Key Responsibilities

Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for banking applications and APIs.

Design, execute, and maintain API test cases for REST and SOAP services.

Validate API request/response, status codes, data accuracy, error handling, and integration flows.

Test banking workflows across Net Banking and Mobile Banking platforms.

Identify, document, track, and retest defects throughout the defect life cycle.

Collaborate closely with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and business teams to understand requirements and resolve issues.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Ensure adequate test coverage and support release validation.

Analyze test results and provide clear defect reports and status updates.

Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of API and application-level issues.

Required Skills

5–11 years of QA / Software Testing experience

Strong experience in Banking Domain Testing

Experience With Net Banking / Mobile Banking Applications Preferred

Hands-on experience in REST API and SOAP API Testing

Strong knowledge of Functional, Regression, and Integration Testing

Good understanding of Defect Life Cycle

Hands-on experience with JIRA

Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
