Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on banking, lending, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate banking documentation, commercial agreements, and customer terms and conditions.
- Review credit and security documentation to ensure legal enforceability.
- Advise on Singapore banking regulations, PDPA, and other applicable legal requirements.
- Manage litigation, disputes, and external legal counsel where required.
- Support internal investigations, governance matters, and policy development.
- Provide legal support for regional operations across Asia Pacific, including Singapore and Shanghai.
- Assist with audit and regulatory matters to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
- Degree in Law admission to the Singapore Bar or a recognised legal qualification.
- Minimum 15 years legal experience, preferably within banking, financial services, or a leading law firm.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore banking regulations, lending documentation, and commercial contracts.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
