Job Description:
Entire design lifecycle of two wheeler exterior/plastics/Trims which includes the following stages
- Sound knowledge of Body Parts/Exterior/Panels and trim design.
- Knowledge of CAD modelling, PLM tools. Hands on experience of UG-NX/CATIA ,Team center or equivalent
- Knowledge of FE analysis and experience in ANSYS/HYPERMESH or equivalent FE software
- Ability to do multitasking: Testing co-ordination, Benchmarking, Dealing with suppliers
- Knowledge on different types of materials, manufacturing processes used in Plastic design. Knowledge of manufacturing guidelines and methods to overcome defects in plastic parts.
- Application of GD&T, DFMEA, DFM etc
- Technical/ Functional:
- Proficient in Plastic/Trim Part design of various parts such as fender, fairing assembly, seats, side panels etc.
- Virtual simulation (CAE, FEA) for part design and takeaways from it.
- Good understanding & awareness of new technologies in vehicle interior design
- Basic knowledge of vehicle layout design, ergonomics and homologation requirements
- Good communication skills.
- Specific expertise required for functional area :
- Unigraphics-NX (CRITICAL)
- Teamcenter Engineering or PLM system
- FEA (Ansys /Hypermesh/Nastran)
- Exposure to design standards
- Exposure to relevant regulations (Current, Future)
