Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage complex Commvault Backup environments, including CommServe, Media Agents, and backup clients.
- Develop and implement data protection strategies tailored to meet business continuity and compliance requirements.
- Optimize backup infrastructure to ensure performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot backup jobs, identifying and resolving failures to ensure data integrity.
- Perform regular maintenance activities, including upgrades, patching, and capacity planning for the backup environment.
- Troubleshoot problems with deployed Backup solution and should have good experience and support large complex setup.
- Experience in understanding and applying customer policies for backup retention, validation, restoration of data.
- Develop and execute backup and recovery scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Conduct periodic recovery testing to validate backup integrity and ensure compliance with SLAs.
- Lead recovery operations during data loss events, ensuring minimal downtime and data restoration accuracy.
- Collaborate with DR teams to design and maintain disaster recovery plans, including replication and recovery strategies using Commvault tools.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including backup policies, recovery procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Generate and analyze backup performance reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage and maintain Pure Storage and HP MSA systems, including provisioning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco FC switches, including zoning, fabric management, and monitoring.
- Hands-on expertise with Pure Storage solutions, particularly FlashArray systems.
- Experience in configuring and managing HP MSA Storage, including array management and volume provisioning.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco FC Switches, including SAN zoning and fabric troubleshooting.
