Backup and Storage Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Manage, configure, and optimize backup and storage systems (NetApp, Dell EMC, Veritas, Veeam, Commvault, etc.).

Perform data backup, recovery, and replication to ensure business continuity.

Monitor storage and backup environments, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

Implement storage provisioning, RAID configurations, and performance tuning.

Develop and maintain backup policies, retention strategies, and disaster recovery plans.

Work with cloud-based storage and backup solutions (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage).

Automate backup and recovery processes using scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.).

Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and application teams to ensure seamless data availability.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for backup and storage-related incidents.

Required Skills & Experience:

4+ years of experience in Backup and Storage Administration.

Expertise in storage solutions (NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, HPE, Hitachi, etc.).

Experience with backup tools (Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, IBM Spectrum Protect).

Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel storage technologies.

Hands-on experience with cloud storage and backup solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Proficiency in RAID, LUN management, and volume provisioning.

Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.

Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.

Understanding of networking concepts related to storage (NFS, SMB, CIFS, etc.).

Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
