We at Coforge are seeking a Backup Administrator to support IT operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer backup and restore operations using IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) / IBM Spectrum Protect.
• Monitor backup jobs and ensure successful completion as per defined schedules.
• Perform backup recovery, restoration testing, and disaster recovery (DR) support activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backup-related incidents within defined SLAs.
• Monitor backup infrastructure performance, storage utilization, and capacity planning.
• Ensure compliance with backup, retention, and data protection policies.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and storage teams for backup requirements.
• Maintain backup reports, audit records, and operational documentation.
• Support patching, upgrades, and regular health checks of the backup environment.
• Participate in 24x7 operational support and on-call activities when required.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Backup Administration.
• Hands-on experience with IBM TSM / IBM Spectrum Protect.
• Strong knowledge of backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
• Experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments and enterprise storage systems.
• Knowledge of backup compliance, reporting, and documentation standards.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant IBM Storage or Backup Administration certifications will be an added advantage.
