Job Description
We are looking for a strong hands-on Backend Technical Architect with a startup mindset who loves building scalable systems, solving hard engineering problems, and operating with high ownership.
This is a high impact Individual Contributor role for someone who is deeply technical, still passionate about coding, and thrives in fast paced, ambiguous environments. You will help design and build next generation AI and enterprise platforms at scale.
What You'll Do
- Design and build scalable microservices and distributed systems
- Write high quality production grade Python code
- Drive architecture, performance optimization, scalability, and reliability
- Solve complex system bottlenecks across compute, networking, databases, and infrastructure
- Build APIs, async/event driven systems, and reusable engineering frameworks
- Improve observability, automation, and engineering guardrails
- Partner closely with product, platform, and engineering teams to drive execution
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of deep hands-on Python development experience
- Strong experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Expertise in concurrency, async processing, APIs (REST/gRPC), and scalable backend systems
- Experience with Postgres, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, or similar technologies
- Hands-on cloud and infrastructure experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
- Strong focus on code quality, performance, testing, and automation
- Comfortable using AI assisted development tools such as Cursor or Copilot
- Exposure to AI/data platforms or Knowledge Graph ecosystems is a strong plus
