About the Role

SportVot is looking for an experienced Backend Remote Production Manager to lead and manage live sports broadcasting operations and remote production workflows in real time.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in backend remote production, cloud-based production, MCR operations, and live streaming workflows. The role requires strong technical understanding, leadership qualities, and the ability to handle high-pressure live productions at scale.

Live Remote Production Management

·       Manage end-to-end backend remote production workflows for live sporting events

·       Handle live production execution in real time including vMix operations, scoring systems, instant replays, live graphics, commentary coordination, stream monitoring, and match production workflows

·       Ensure smooth execution of multi-camera live productions across multiple simultaneous matches

·       Monitor production quality, stream health, latency, sync issues, and broadcast stability during live events

·       Troubleshoot technical issues during live productions under strict timelines

Technical Operations

·       Manage and troubleshoot video encoders & decoders, RTMP/SRT workflows, cloud-based production systems, cloud streaming infrastructure, live production software, audio/video routing, and internet/network-related broadcast issues

·       Coordinate with operations teams for deployment and backend support

·       Ensure production systems and streaming infrastructure remain operational during live events

Client & Delivery Management

·       Conduct operational and production meetings with clients

·       Understand production requirements and ensure all deliverables are fulfilled as committed

·       Coordinate production timelines, graphics packages, branding requirements, commentary workflows, and streaming outputs

·       Handle live event escalations and ensure smooth communication during productions

Process & Operational Excellence

·       Implement and maintain structured checklist systems for match readiness, production setup, graphics verification, commentary coordination, streaming validation, technical QC, and post-match reporting

·       Create SOPs and escalation workflows for backend production teams

·       Ensure operational discipline and proper reporting mechanisms across all productions

Team Leadership

·       Lead backend production operators, MCR teams, replay operators, graphics operators, and technical coordinators

·       Allocate shifts, production responsibilities, and event assignments

·       Train and mentor junior team members

·       Ensure accountability, efficiency, and execution quality across the operations team

Experience & Skills

·       3+ years of relevant experience in remote sports production workflows, MCR operations, backend broadcast operations, cloud-based live production, or live sports broadcasting

·       Strong understanding of vMix, OBS, Wirecast, encoders, RTMP/SRT workflows, replay systems, graphics systems, audio/video signal flow, and cloud production infrastructure

·       Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

·       Ability to work in high-pressure live production environments

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience in sports broadcasting

·       Experience handling multiple live productions simultaneously

·       Experience managing remote production teams at scale
