Backend Engineer

Experience: 2 to 3 years

Role summary

You will help build the backend of a collections and recovery platform. This is a hands on role focused on writing clean Python services, working with MongoDB, and integrating real world systems. You will work closely with a senior engineer or architect and grow fast.

What you will work on

Build backend APIs in Python for cases, customers, payments, and workflows

Design and query MongoDB collections for operational data and event logs

Implement background jobs using queues for retries, callbacks, and status updates

Integrate third party APIs such as payment gateways, SMS, email, and dialers

Assist in building simple rule based workflows and state transitions

Write basic AI driven features like tagging outcomes, summaries, and classifications using existing models

Add logging, error handling, and basic monitoring

Fix bugs, improve performance, and refactor existing code

Python

FastAPI or Flask

MongoDB

Redis or basic queue systems

REST APIs

Git and Docker basics

You are a good fit if

You have built at least one real backend service end to end

You are comfortable with MongoDB schema design and indexing

You understand APIs, async jobs, and basic system design

You are curious, learn fast, and take feedback well

Experience

2 to 3 years backend development

Fintech or SaaS exposure is a plus but not required
