We are looking for a curious and passionate Backend Engineer who loves building real-world systems and enjoys solving practical engineering problems.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning new technologies, experimenting with AI tools, and building scalable backend systems with clean architecture and ownership.

We are preferably looking for immediate joiners or candidates who can join within a short notice period.

What We're Looking For:-

Core Backend Skills

• Strong experience with Python backend development
• Experience with FastAPI preferred
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL and database design
• Experience with SQLAlchemy or SQLModel
• Knowledge of REST APIs and backend architecture
• Understanding of authentication systems (JWT, RBAC, sessions, etc.)
• Docker and docker-compose experience
• Understanding of Redis, caching, and API optimization
• Ability to write clean, structured, maintainable, and testable code
• Basic understanding of security best practices

Engineering Mindset

• Curious mindset and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
• Hands-on experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc. during development workflows
• Strong understanding of Git and GitHub workflows
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly
• Ownership mindset and attention to detail
• Good communication and collaboration skills

Selection Process

Round 1 — Technical Interview

Take-Home Assignment

Candidates selected after Round 1 will receive a backend engineering task via email.

The assignment:

• Must be completed within 3 days
• Will evaluate backend architecture, code quality, scalability, security, testing, and overall engineering thinking
• AI tools are allowed, but candidates must be able to explain their implementation decisions clearly

Round 2 — Project Discussion Interview

After submission, candidates will attend a second technical interview where they will:

• Explain their implementation
• Walk through architecture and design choices
• Discuss tradeoffs and optimizations
• Demonstrate understanding of the code they wrote

We are not looking for perfect code.

We are looking for engineers who can think clearly, learn fast, build responsibly, and take ownership while working in a fast-moving product environment.
