Job Description
Opcito is seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong experience in Golang and modern AI-driven application development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in building scalable APIs, integrating LLM/GenAI capabilities, and working on distributed backend systems. Experience with Node.js is a plus.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Golang
- Strong proficiency in AI coding tools
- Experience in API development and backend architecture
- Hands-on exposure to LLM/GenAI technologies and integrations
- Knowledge of MCP concepts/frameworks
- Understanding of microservices and distributed systems
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization tools
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Golang
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
- Work on LLM/GenAI integrations for AI-powered applications and workflows
- Implement and optimize MCP-based architectures/workflows
- Collaborate with product, AI, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize backend performance
- Participate in system design, code reviews, and deployment activities
