About The Role
As a Backend Engineer at Broadway, you'll help build the systems that power our omnichannel retail engine — from inventory and catalog services to search, recommendations, and transactions.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable backend systems for high-volume e-commerce operations (catalog, pricing, cart, checkout, payments, etc.)
- Develop APIs to serve both internal tools and customer-facing apps (web & mobile)
- Handle integrations with third-party logistics, payment gateways, and recommendation engines
- Own performance, security, and reliability of backend services
Requirements
- Strong experience with backend frameworks (Node.js, Python, or Go)
- Experience working on e-commerce platforms (D2C, marketplace, or omnichannel retail)
- Deep understanding of APIs, caching, rate limiting, and database design
- Exposure to microservices architecture, CI/CD, cloud infra (AWS/GCP), and monitoring
