Backend Engineer

AfterQuery is looking for experts with experience in software engineering, computer science, or app/web development to help train and evaluate AI models. This is a remote, project-based role: qualify once through a single assessment and receive ongoing project matches spanning code review, evaluation, and original task creation. Pay ranges from $50 to $100/hour depending on the projects you qualify into.

Responsibilities

• Complete software engineering tasks across a range of AI training and evaluation projects
• Review and evaluate code and model outputs for correctness and quality
• Deliver clear, well-documented work independently
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of real-world software engineering experience (full-time or substantive internships count)
• Strong fundamentals in at least one major programming language
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
