Backend Developer Node.js

Job Description

We are looking for a Backend Developer with 4 years of experience and strong hands-on expertise in Node.js to join our development team. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and REST APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
• Build robust RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design database schemas and implement efficient database queries.
• Work with PostgreSQL / MySQL databases.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and API security.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Handle validation, error handling, logging, and performance optimization.
• Develop background jobs, scheduled tasks, and asynchronous processes.
• Debug and resolve development and production issues.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
• Work closely with frontend developers, QA, UI/UX, and product teams.
• Support backend deployments and production releases.
  
  

Required Skills

• 4 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js is mandatory.
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Strong experience with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks.
• Strong understanding of REST API development.
• Good experience with PostgreSQL / MySQL.
• Strong understanding of SQL and database design.
• Experience with JWT, authentication, and authorization.
• Good understanding of Node.js asynchronous programming, Promises, and Event Loop.
• Experience with Git and Git-based workflows.
• Good understanding of HTTP, JSON, webhooks, and third-party API integrations.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
