About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer (Java) to build scalable, cloud-native microservices for our Banking client for a Home Loan Integration & Implementation program. You will play a key role in modernizing legacy systems by designing resilient APIs and enabling seamless integrations across origination, servicing, channels, and partner systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native microservices using Java Spring Boot
- Build integration layers connecting loan origination, servicing, channels, and legacy platforms.
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services for enterprise applications.
- Implement event-driven workflows using Dapr and Temporal
- Ensure secure, high-performance data access using YugabyteDB
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
- Contribute to unit testing, code reviews, and quality assurance
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
- Implement strangler-pattern modernization by gradually replacing legacy systems
- Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize backend services
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 35 years of experience in backend development using Java
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot & Microservices architecture
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance systems
- Understanding of event-driven architecture & distributed systems
- Experience with REST APIs and integration patterns
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile environments Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with Dapr, Temporal, or workflow orchestration tools
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
