Role Overview: We are looking for a Backend Developer Intern to join our dynamic team. As an intern, you will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions, ensuring performance and responsiveness under mentorship.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about backend development who want to build strong foundations in scalable architecture. While exposure to Node.js is essential, familiarity with Django will be a bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Developing Scalable Backend Systems: Contribute to writing clean, efficient, and reusable code using Node.js.
- API Development & Integration: Support the design and development of RESTful APIs and WebSocket integrations.
- Database Management: Work with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL under supervision, focusing on schema design and data integrity.
- Cloud Deployment Exposure: Gain experience deploying and managing backend services on AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Security Implementation: Assist in implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
- Performance Optimization: Help monitor and debug backend performance issues.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to build seamless product experiences.
- Documentation & Testing: Support documentation efforts and help in creating automated backend tests.
Requirements:
- Experience: Hands-on academic or project experience with backend development, particularly using Node.js.
- Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, with exposure to schema design principles.
- API Development Skills: Familiarity with REST APIs, WebSockets, and optionally GraphQL.
- Cloud Basics: Understanding or exposure to deploying services on AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- Security Awareness: Basic knowledge of authentication protocols and security best practices.
- Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Strong communication and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
