Role Overview
We are looking for a
Backend Developer Intern who will assist in developing core backend services and occasionally support full-stack and frontend requirements. This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in an agile product team within a fast-paced EV startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js, Python, or Go
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design scalable data models using MongoDB or PostgreSQL
- Integrate backend services with basic frontend components using React.js, HTML, and CSS
- Work with authentication protocols, third-party APIs, and internal data systems
- Debug, optimize, and ensure code quality with unit testing and code reviews
- Assist with basic DevOps and deployment tasks including Docker, Firebase, AWS or GCP
Required Skills
- Pursuing or recently completed a B.E/B.Tech or related degree in CS/IT
- Hands-on knowledge of Node.js or Python for backend development
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, version control with Git, and database queries
- Some exposure to frontend frameworks like React.js is a plus
- Willingness to learn fast, take ownership, and work in a startup environment
Nice to Have
- Exposure to MVC architecture and microservices
- Basic understanding of authentication and authorization such as JWT and OAuth
- Familiarity with GraphQL, Firebase, or real-time systems like WebSockets
- Contribution to GitHub or personal side projects
