Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team on a freelance basis. In this role, you will work on building scalable backend systems, APIs, and data-driven applications that power AI-first products and operational platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Build robust server-side logic and integrate with databases and third-party services.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and data teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing backend systems.
- Ensure security, data protection, and best engineering practices across applications.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language/framework such as:
- Python (Django/FastAPI/Flask)
- Node.js
- Java
- Golang
- or similar technologies.
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, system design, and backend architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, version control systems, and deployment workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in AI/ML-driven products or data-intensive applications.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of performance optimization and scalable distributed systems.
