Backend Architect

Job Description

Requirements: - 12+ years of software engineering experience with a deep focus on backend development and architecture. - Strong hands-on expertise in Java and backend frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot. - Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems and microservices-based architectures. - Strong understanding of backend system design, API design, multithreading and concurrency, data structures and algorithms, database design, caching strategies, event-driven systems, and performance tuning. - Experience building high-throughput, low-latency, resilient backend services in production environments. - Hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture, containerisation, and modern deployment practices. - Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, observability, logging, monitoring, and production operations. - Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases. - Proven ability to drive architecture reviews, code quality, and engineering best practices. - Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across product and engineering teams. - Currently hands-on with production code.
