Assistant Manager Back Office Operations

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Assistant Manager Back Office Operations to manage day-to-day operational activities, ensure data accuracy, streamline workflows, and lead a small team for efficient execution. The role requires strong coordination skills, operational control, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee end-to-end back-office operations and ensure smooth execution of daily tasks
  • Monitor process SLAs, TATs, and productivity benchmarks
  • Drive process standardization and automation to improve efficiency
  • Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions

Data Reporting

  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timely updating of operational data
  • Prepare and publish daily / weekly / monthly MIS and performance reports
  • Track key KPIs and highlight actionable insights to leadership

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Compliance, Finance, and Support teams
  • Ensure seamless handoffs between front-end and back-end functions
  • Act as the escalation point for critical operational issues

Team Management

  • Lead, train, and mentor back-office executives
  • Allocate work, monitor performance, and drive productivity
  • Create a high-ownership and process-adherence culture

Compliance Quality Control

  • Ensure all activities are aligned with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails

Process Improvement Automation

  • Drive digitization and workflow automation initiatives
  • Reduce manual effort and operational risk
  • Improve turnaround time and customer experience

Key Requirements

Experience

  • 47 years in Back Office / Operations / Process Management
  • Prior experience in Fintech / Wealth / Broking / BFSI / B2C operations preferred
  • Experience in team handling is a must

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • High proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (MIS, dashboards, data handling)
  • Process-driven with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills

  • Process TAT SLA adherence
  • Data accuracy rate
  • Productivity per executive
  • Error / rework reduction
  • Automation efficiency improvements
