Senior Software Engineer Backend Development ( Java and Kotlin)

About the Role:
We are seeking a versatile Senior Software Engineer with expertise in backend development, passionate about building high-performance, scalable, and secure services. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy tackling complex system-level problems, writing clean and maintainable code, and contributing to modern backend architectures. You will join a fast-paced R&D environment, developing backend systems for our cybersecurity and network intelligence products used by global service providers and enterprises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient backend services, APIs, and infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to ensure seamless integration of features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and performant code in Rust, Kotlin, Python, or Node.js.
- Leverage generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, improve quality, and streamline documentation and testing.
- Participate in system architecture and design discussions, contributing to scalable solutions.
- Work closely with QA, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure rapid, reliable, and high-quality releases.
- Stay current with backend development trends and tools, particularly those enabling AI-assisted workflows.
- Thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional teams and embrace collaborative engineering.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Rust, Kotlin (server-side), Python, Node.js.
- Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs and/or messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Understanding of scalable systems and distributed architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile development practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in cybersecurity or network intelligence domains.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted development workflows beyond standard coding tools.
- Contributions to open-source projects or internal tooling initiatives.
