Back End Developer

Typesider | Noida | Hybrid | Full-time | 0.5–3 Years

Typesider is a reward based Windows desktop application that turns everyday computer activity into tangible rewards.

Users earn Typoints based on keyboard keystrokes and mouse clicks while using their computers normally. Typoints can be redeemed for coupons, discounts, exclusive brand offers, and soon, cashback.

Typesider is designed to work seamlessly in the background and follows a privacy first approach. It counts activity volume but does not read, record, or store what users type or the content of their computer activity.

We're building a consumer product where performance, reliability, privacy, and scalability are critical.

We're looking for a Backend Developer with .NET experience to help us build, maintain, and improve the backend services that power Typesider.

You'll work closely with the founders, frontend, product, and QA teams to develop APIs, manage data, fix backend issues, and build reliable services that support the Typesider user experience.

This is a hands on role where you'll work on real product features and contribute directly to the backend as the product grows.

• Develop and maintain backend services using C# and .NET

• Build and maintain RESTful Web APIs using ASP.NET Core

• Design and implement backend functionality using Entity Framework Core

• Work with MySQL and SQL for data storage, queries, relationships, and optimization

• Integrate backend APIs with frontend and desktop application features

• Test and debug APIs using Postman

• Identify and resolve backend bugs, performance issues, and edge cases

• Implement proper validation, error handling, authentication, and authorization

• Work on business logic around users, Typoints, streaks, rewards, redemptions, and related services

• Collaborate with frontend developers to define API requirements and ensure smooth integration

• Work with QA to investigate issues and verify fixes

• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable backend code

• 0.5–3 years of experience in backend development

• Strong fundamentals in C# and .NET

• Hands on experience with ASP.NET Core

• Experience building Web APIs / REST APIs

• Practical experience with Entity Framework Core

• Working knowledge of MySQL and SQL

• Experience using Postman for API testing and debugging

• Good understanding of object oriented programming and backend development principles

• Understanding of API validation, error handling, authentication, and security fundamentals

• Good debugging and problem solving skills

• Working knowledge of Git and version control

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams

• Experience with JWT authentication

• Understanding of database indexing and query optimization

• Familiarity with Swagger / OpenAPI

• Basic understanding of caching, background services, or asynchronous processing

• Experience working on consumer applications or reward based products

• Familiarity with deployment, logging, monitoring, or cloud services

We're looking for someone who understands that backend development is not just about writing APIs.

You should be comfortable thinking about:

What happens when multiple users hit the same API at the same time

What happens if a request fails halfway through

How do we keep user rewards and Typoints accurate

How should data be validated and secured

How can an API be made reliable, maintainable, and easy for the frontend to consume

We value people who take ownership, investigate problems properly, and are comfortable working in an early stage product where things move quickly.

Typesider is an early stage consumer product, so you'll work closely with the team building the product and see your backend work directly support a real product used by users.

You'll have the opportunity to work with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, EF Core, MySQL, and Postman while taking ownership of backend features as Typesider grows.

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Working Hours: 10AM - 6PM

The interview process will focus on your C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web API, EF Core, MySQL, Postman, Github debugging, and problem solving skills.

We'll also discuss projects you've worked on, your technical approach, database and API design, and how you approach building reliable backend systems for a real consumer product.
