About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong DevOps capabilities to build, deploy, and scale our backend applications. You will own the full lifecycle from writing production-quality code to setting up infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a small team and enjoys owning the entire stack.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment
- Set up and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Containerize applications using Docker and manage container orchestration
- Implement multi-tenant architecture to support multiple users and organizations securely
- Manage environment configurations, secrets, and deployment workflows across staging and production
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems
- Ensure application security, including authentication, authorization, and data isolation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code
Requirements
- 2-4 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
- Strong proficiency in Python (experience with async frameworks like FastAPI or aiohttp is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Proven experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar)
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling
- Experience with multi-user or multi-tenant application architecture
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, SSL/TLS, load balancing, firewalls)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes or managed container services (ECS, Azure Container Apps)
- Experience with message queues and event-driven architecture (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Familiarity with bot frameworks or conversational AI platforms
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs and enterprise platforms
- Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth, RBAC, secret management)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS / Azure / GCP, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Terraform, or DevOps certifications are a plus.
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., pharma, healthcare, manufacturing, BFSI) is an added advantage.
