Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Backend Developer (MERN Stack) to build and scale high-performance backend systems for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in designing scalable architectures, handling high traffic, and working with modern cloud-native technologies. Experience in video streaming platforms will be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
- Build and manage microservices architecture for high-availability systems.
- Develop and optimize APIs with proper CORS handling, indexing, and rate limiting.
- Design and manage databases using MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, ensuring performance and data integrity.
- Implement horizontal and vertical scaling strategies for growing traffic.
- Manage file uploads and media storage using AWS S3, Cloudinary, and Multer.
- Implement caching and message-based systems using Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.
- Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments via Kubernetes.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure application reliability.
Required Skills- Strong experience with Node.js, Express.js, and RESTful APIs
- Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with SQL (MySQL / PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
- Knowledge of Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and distributed systems
- Experience in scalable system design, load handling, and performance optimization
- Understanding of rate limiters, indexing strategies, and secure API design
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-based deployments
Good to Have (Plus)- Experience working on video streaming projects
- Knowledge of Adaptive Bitrate Streaming
- Hands-on experience with HLS / MPEG-DASH protocols
- Experience handling large media files and streaming optimization
