Back End Developer

Role Description The Back End Developer will design, build, and maintain server-side applications and APIs that power Talevo's platforms and tools for brands and creators. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing scalable backend services, integrating databases, ensuring application security and performance, and collaborating with front-end developers to deliver seamless user experiences. The role involves troubleshooting and optimizing existing code, contributing to technical architecture decisions, and participating in code reviews and documentation. This is a contract role and is fully remote, requiring effective communication and coordination with a distributed team using modern collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Back-End Web Development and Software Development skills, including experience with modern frameworks and RESTful APIs.
• Candidates should possess solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming skills, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with Front-End Development concepts to collaborate effectively with front-end engineers on integration and troubleshooting.
• Candidates should possess experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), version control (e.g., Git), and deployment in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote, contract-based setting.
• Experience in influencer marketing, creator platforms, or digital media products is beneficial, as is a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
