Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Backend SDE-3 to build and scale mission-critical backend services powering our B2C platform. You will be responsible for designing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable distributed systems while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex system design challenges, optimizing performance at scale, and taking end-to-end ownership of backend services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices.
- Build high-performance APIs and distributed systems capable of handling millions of requests.
- Architect reliable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems with high availability.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and system reliability.
- Work with event-driven architectures using messaging systems like Kafka.
- Design efficient caching strategies using Redis.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features.
- Drive engineering best practices, code reviews, mentoring, and technical discussions.
- Participate in architecture decisions and contribute to long-term platform scalability.
Required Skills
- 5–9 years of backend development experience in product-based organizations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and/or Golang.
- Strong understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms.
- Experience in designing scalable microservices architecture.
- Strong expertise in System Design and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Redis for caching and performance optimization.
- Experience with MongoDB and database optimization.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with cloud environments, containerization, and CI/CD is an added advantage.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
