Job Title: SAP Hybris Backend Developer (Java)
We are looking for a skilled
SAP Hybris Backend Developer with strong expertise in
Java-based commerce platform development. The ideal candidate will work on backend development, customization, and integration of the
SAP Hybris (now known as
SAP Commerce Cloud) platform, building scalable eCommerce solutions and integrating with enterprise systems such as
SAP,
Salesforce, and payment gateways.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development
- Design, develop, and customize backend components on the SAP Hybris platform.
- Develop extensions, services, and integrations using Java.
- Implement business logic and backend services supporting eCommerce applications.
Platform Customization
- Customize core modules such as Product, Order, Customer, and Checkout.
- Develop and maintain Hybris extensions, facades, and service layers.
- Configure and manage Hybris platform components.
Integrations
- Build integrations between SAP Hybris and enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, and payment systems.
- Develop REST APIs and integration services.
- Work with messaging or event platforms like Apache Kafka where required.
Performance & Optimization
- Optimize platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues in Hybris environments.
- Ensure code quality through testing and code reviews.
Required Skills
- 48 years of experience in Java-based development.
- Strong experience with SAP Hybris / SAP Commerce Cloud backend development.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Hybris architecture.
- Experience with Hybris extensions, service layer, facades, and cron jobs.
- Knowledge of Hybris data modeling (items.xml) and platform configuration.
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices integration.
- Good understanding of SQL / database design.
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating SAP, Salesforce, or other enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of event-driven integrations using Apache Kafka.
- Experience with eCommerce checkout, order management, and product catalog modules.
- Familiarity with cloud deployments and container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
