Back End Developer

We're hiring SDE — Java Backend

Location: Gurugram (Work From Office) | Experience: 2–5 Years | Full-Time

AdGrid is building at the intersection of AdTech × FinTech, focused on creating high-scale, reliable backend infrastructure from the ground up.

We're looking for a Java Backend Engineer who has worked on real production systems — not just CRUD APIs, but systems that handle scale, failures, and complexity.

• Own backend services end-to-end — architecture → development → production
• Build and operate Kafka-based systems with real-world failure handling (retries, rebalancing, lag)
• Design backward-compatible APIs with clear contracts
• Optimize databases — indexing, query plans, and schema design trade-offs
• Improve code quality through reviews, testing (JUnit/Mockito), and clean architecture
• Strengthen observability — structured logging, metrics, and RCA

• Java 17+ — strong in concurrency, collections, and memory management
• Kafka (production experience) — retries, timeouts, consumer groups, rebalances
• Spring Boot — production-grade microservices
• Strong understanding of distributed systems — failure modes, scalability, trade-offs
• Database expertise — PostgreSQL/MySQL or MongoDB (performance tuning)
• Docker & Kubernetes

• AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS)
• gRPC, Virtual Threads, reactive systems
• Redis / caching strategies
• Observability stack — OpenSearch, Grafana, Kibana, FluentBit
• Messaging systems like MQTT, FCM
