Job Description

Company Description

TrialX is a clinical research and space health informatics company based in New York City. Since 2008, the company has been at the forefront of innovation, launching the first clinical trials app on Google Health and supporting both terrestrial and space missions. TrialX offers industry-leading solutions for patient recruitment and remote clinical trial data collection, including tools to enhance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in research. Their platforms serve pharmaceutical sponsors, research institutions, and patient advocacy groups by offering centralized systems for trial management, participant engagement, and real-time analytics. TrialX also raises awareness through CureTalks, an initiative connecting patients, advocates, and researchers.

As a BA/QA Engineer, you'll own quality end to end on a fast-tracked, Space Health Platform. You'll dig into business and clinical system requirements, turn them into crisp, testable acceptance criteria, and break things on purpose - through functional, regression, and integration testing - to catch defects.

This is not a slow-moving QA seat. We ship AI-accelerated, which means features land daily and the product evolves under your feet. We need someone dynamic, curious, and fast, who can keep pace with AI-speed development, re-test continuously, take ownership from day one, and bring real energy to the team. You're the reason our platform ships accurate, reliable, and genuinely high-quality software for a domain where failure is not an option: monitor health and performance of astronauts.

(Full-time, on-site role; 0–1 year of experience)

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • 0-1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of Functional, UI, Integration, and Regression testing
  • An analytical mindset: able to read requirements, ask the right questions, and break them into clear, testable criteria
  • A sharp eye for UI/UX issues - able to spot visual inconsistencies, broken layouts, confusing flows, poor spacing/alignment, and usability problems, not just functional bugs
  • Comfortable working at AI-development speed - able to validate frequently changing features and re-test quickly without losing rigor
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Able to inspect web pages using browser developer tools (DevTools) - read the console, network tab, and elements panel to identify what's broken and where
  • Comfortable testing across devices and screen sizes - desktop, tablet, and mobile - to verify responsive layouts and catch device-specific issues
  • Able to communicate clearly using company collaboration tools
  • Knowledge of Python / JavaScript / TypeScript
  • A dynamic, proactive attitude and willingness to work on-site, full-time
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Analyze and clarify business and clinical/system requirements, and translate them into acceptance criteria and test scenarios
  • Own test planning, test case design, and test execution
  • Perform end-to-end testing across the platform to ensure quality throughout a rapid, AI-driven development lifecycle
  • Identify and report UI/UX issues - visual inconsistencies, layout/responsiveness problems, broken states, and usability or accessibility gaps - and validate fixes against design specs
  • Use browser DevTools to inspect, debug, and pinpoint UI, network, and console errors, then file clear, reproducible defect reports
  • Perform cross-browser and mobile/responsive testing to ensure a consistent experience across devices and viewports
  • Validate data accuracy and integrity - critical for patient records, vitals, and mission/health data
  • Log defects and track their status; work closely with developers to reproduce, resolve, re-test, and run regression cycles
  • Keep up with a high-velocity release cadence - frequent builds, fast iteration, continuous re-testing
  • Take part in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, demos, retros)
  • Follow internal development, test, and build processes
  • Learn to design, develop, and execute automation scripts using automation frameworks (with guidance and mentorship)
  • Stay current with new testing methodologies, tools, and AI-assisted testing workflows
What We Consider an Advantage
  • Exposure to any browser automation tool (Playwright / Cypress / Selenium / Robot Framework)
  • Experience with mobile device testing tools or device emulators (e.g. Chrome Device Mode, BrowserStack)
  • An eye for design and accessibility (e.g. WCAG basics, contrast, keyboard navigation, consistency with a design system)
  • Interest in or exposure to AI/LLM tools and prompt-based workflows (we use them daily)
  • Basic SQL knowledge (for verifying data consistency)
  • Any exposure to healthcare, EHR, or FHIR/HL7 data standards
  • Strong, demonstrable learning ability and a growth mindset - you pick up new tools and domains fast
