A Business Systems Analyst (BSA) needs strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, plus deep knowledge of travel processes (booking, GDS like Amadeus/Sabre/Travelport, pricing, shopping, ticketing, fare quotes) and tech (SQL, data analysis, JSON and XML data formats.) to bridge business needs with IT solutions, focusing on efficiency in dynamic environments. Key skills include process modelling, data visualization, stakeholder management, understanding software lifecycles, and familiarity with travel-specific systems.

Job Title: Specialist - Business Analysis

Location: PAN India

Job Description:

We are seeking a Specialist - Business Analysis with 5-7 years of experience in the travel domain, specifically within travel agencies. The successful candidate should have hands-on expertise in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Sabre, Amadeus, and Travelport, and possess knowledge of reservations, ticketing, EMD, exchanges & refunds, NDC, and API mapping.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze business processes, identify gaps and define new functional requirements.

2. Gather and track requirements for complex software projects, substantiated by a proven track record of previous projects.

3. Use analytical thinking and writing abilities to ask the right questions and document the answers clearly.

4. Utilize problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to find solutions to complex business problems.

5. Work closely with stakeholders to bridge business needs with IT solutions, focusing on efficiency in dynamic environments.

6. Leverage data visualization tools like PowerBI and Tableau to present clear insights to business stakeholders.

7. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for changes before pushing them to production.

Requirements:

1. 5-7 years of experience in a Business Analyst or equivalent role.

2. Proven experience in the Airline, Hospitality, and Travel Industry.

3. Hands-on experience with GDSs like Sabre, Amadeus, or Travelport.

4. Proficiency in Agile product Development Methodology.

5. Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Servers, MS SQL.

6. Familiarity with GBT Applications such as PRDS, DST, JIRA Agile.

7. Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, and UML diagrams.

8. Excellent teamwork, learning, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cooperate with people from different cultures.

9. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills.

10. Good communication skills and eagerness to learn.

Preferred Skills:

1. Knowledge or experience on AWS is a plus, but not mandatory.
