Job Description
The role focuses on designing, architecting, and leading large-scale enterprise infrastructure deployments and migrations from on-premises VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution (AVS). The professional will work closely with customer stakeholders, program managers, and delivery teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-availability cloud transformations using VMware and Azure technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with program managers and service delivery teams to plan, architect, and execute complex infrastructure deployments and migrations to Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
- Lead customer engagements for on-premises VMware to Azure migrations using VMware HCX (Advanced & Enterprise).
- Collaborate with customer application, infrastructure, and security teams to define technical requirements, migration strategy, and target architecture.
- Design and implement VMware NSX-T based networking, security, and micro-segmentation solutions.
- Architect and deploy vSphere, vSAN, and NSX-T aligned with enterprise best practices.
- Design Azure connectivity using ExpressRoute, VPN, Virtual WAN, and Azure Route Server.
- Provide technical leadership, reviews, and guidance across architecture, security, networking, and high-availability designs.
- Act as a subject matter expert on AVS, VMware, and Azure technologies and mentor internal teams.
- Create solution documents, reference architectures, migration runbooks, and training materials.
- Stay current with VMware and Azure roadmap updates and proactively recommend improvements.

- Hands-on experience in on-premises to cloud VMware migrations
- Strong understanding of datacenter networking (L2/L3), security, HA, DR, and monitoring

- VMware Management Suite (vROps, vRLI, vRNI, vCD)
- Azure NetApp Files and Azure Disk Pools
