Job Description
- Compute Resource Management Provision configure and manage Azure Virtual Machines Windows/Linux Manage VM Scale Sets VMSS and availability configurations Availability Sets Zones Perform resizing scaling and capacity planning of VMs Manage OS-level configurations and extensions
- Incident Request Handling Act as L2 support for compute-related incidents and service requests Troubleshoot VM boot issues connectivity issues and performance degradation Perform root cause analysis RCA for recurring issues Work with L3 cloud architects for complex escalations
- Monitoring Performance Monitor compute resources using Azure Monitor Log Analytics and Alerts Analyse CPU memory disk IO and network utilization Optimize performance and recommend right-sizing
- Backup Recovery Configure and manage Azure Backup for VMs Perform restore operations file-level and VM-level Support disaster recovery using Azure Site Recovery ASR
- Security Compliance Implement and manage NSGs Network Security Groups for VM access control Apply patches and updates using Azure Update Management Ensure compliance with security policies and standards
- Automation Scripting Use Azure PowerShell Azure CLI for routine tasks Support automation using Runbooks Azure Automation Assist in infrastructure-as-code deployments ARMBicep basic level
- Documentation Reporting Maintain SOPs runbooks and knowledge base articles Provide reports on uptime incidents and performance metrics
