Position: Manager - Financial Reporting
Location: Gurugram
Reporting to: Head - Financial Reporting
Role Overview
- As Manager /Sr Manager - Financial Reporting, you will lead financial reporting and statutory audits for a dynamic portfolio of renewable energy assets. You will manage the preparation and consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities in compliance with IND AS, US GAAP, and IFRS. This role requires a strong understanding of the unique financial, regulatory, and technical dynamics of the renewable energy sector.
- You will work closely with internal teams and external auditors, playing a key role in ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance as Azure Power continues its rapid growth and project diversification.
Job Responsibilities
Statutory Audit Leadership:
- Lead and manage statutory audits across multiple renewable energy entities
- Coordinate with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal departments to ensure timely and compliant audit closures.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of 10+ finance professionals, fostering capability development in renewable energy accounting and reporting.
Financial Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements.
- Conduct trend analysis on financial performance and key account balances.
- Manage quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting requirements-especially those tied to capital markets, green bonds, or project finance.
Accounting Standards & Technical Expertise
- Ensure compliance with IND AS, US GAAP, and IFRS in all financial reporting.
- Handle complex accounting areas, including held-for-sale assets, deferred tax under IND AS and US GAAP, intercompany transactions, etc.
- Review audit schedules and key disclosures, including AR, AP, Revenue, Loans, Interest, NCI, FCTR, Deferred Tax, and other GAAP adjustments.
Process Review & Risk Management
- Review internal policies, procedures, and financial systems to identify risk areas.
- Recommend and implement control measures to mitigate identified risks.
Automation And Systems
- Drive and support financial statement automation initiatives.
- Experience working in an SAP environment is essential.
Desired Experience And Competencies
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8+ years of post-qualification experience in financial reporting, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector.
- Strong technical knowledge in Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS) and US GAAP.
- Prior exposure to accounting and reporting in the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, hybrid) is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and financial reporting automation tools.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
