Azure or Cloud Platform Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Azure or Cloud Platform Analyst to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and optimizing cloud resources, ensuring high availability and performance of cloud services.

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Azure Platform Admin to lead our efforts in design, development, and optimization of scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing the platform, provisioning resources for developers, monitoring, maintaining and enhancing the resources. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring platform availability. Experience in cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP), Databricks, Terraform, Networking, Gitlab, PowerShell, Shell scripting, Spark, Python and SQL is essential. The role also involves performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimizing Databricks environments for efficient data processing. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are required to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Technical Skills and Experience

• Total Experience: 6-8 Years. Relevant Experience: At least 5 years.
• Strong understanding of different SaaS/PaaS/ IaaS services and platform Experience in provisioning the components.
• Use Terraform as IaC sloution to provision the Azure components.
• Install, configure, and maintain Databricks clusters and workspaces.
• Monitor cluster performance, resource utilization, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement and manage access controls and security policies to protect sensitive data.
• Implement Unity Catalog at enterprise scale and enable isolation between different teams.
• Provide technical support to Databricks users, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Conduct training sessions to educate users on platform best practices and capabilities.
• Optimize cluster configurations for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor and manage auto-scaling to ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
• Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and encryption mechanisms.
• Stay up to date with security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate Azure data services with other data sources, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Monitor and manage platform costs, including optimizing resource utilization to control expenses.
• Manage Virtual Machines and networking solutions on the platform
• Provision and maintain CI/CD solutions for teams
• Working knowledge of PowerBI to support end to end integrations from various data sources
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and best practices.
