As an Azure Local Architect, you will serve as the Product Owner for the Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI platform, responsible for shaping the strategy, architecture, and lifecycle management of our hybrid infrastructure platform. This role plays a key part in enabling modern hybrid cloud capabilities, edge computing, and data center modernization by integrating on-premises environments with Azure services. You will collaborate with global cloud, infrastructure, security, and platform engineering teams to design scalable and secure infrastructure platforms that support mission-critical healthcare applications and enterprise workloads.
Task and Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle management of the Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI platform across global environments.
- Architect and design hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions integrating compute, storage, networking, and virtualization layers with Azure services.
- Define and implement enterprise architecture standards and governance models for Azure Local deployments across data centers and edge locations.
- Enable hybrid infrastructure integration with Azure services such as Azure Arc, Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery.
- Drive platform engineering and automation initiatives, enabling infrastructure-as-code and scalable platform deployments.
- Ensure platform reliability through high availability architecture, failover design, disaster recovery planning, and monitoring frameworks.
- Collaborate with security and governance teams to implement secure hybrid connectivity, identity integration, and compliance standards.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to infrastructure and engineering teams.
- Support capacity planning, cost optimization, performance tuning, and continuous improvement across hybrid infrastructure platforms.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture, hybrid cloud engineering, or platform engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in Azure Stack HCI / Azure Local architecture and hybrid infrastructure design.
- Strong understanding of Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, and Storage Spaces Direct (S2D).
- Experience with Windows Server virtualization environments and advanced troubleshooting of enterprise infrastructure platforms.
- Working familiarity with Azure Public Cloud services including Azure AD, Azure Arc, Azure Monitor, and Azure networking fundamentals.
- Deep understanding of data center infrastructure including compute, enterprise storage, virtualization, and software-defined networking.
- Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, PowerShell, or similar frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of high availability architectures, disaster recovery strategies, and platform resiliency.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience working with large-scale global infrastructure platforms and cross-functional engineering teams.
