Job Responsibilities Infrastructure & Azure Migration Lead
- Lead end-to-end infrastructure migration projects involving Linux, Windows servers, and cloud platforms.
- Develop detailed migration plans, timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Conduct pre-migration assessments and readiness checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Provide technical support during and after migration activities.
- Assess existing workloads for Azure migration readiness.
- Estimate Azure costs using pricing calculators and optimize configurations (Reserved Instances, Hybrid Benefit).
- Prepare technical proposals including solution architecture, effort estimation, timelines, and commercials.
- Design secure and scalable Azure solutions for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid workloads.
- Implement Azure landing zones with governance, policies, security baselines, and compliance measures.
- Execute migrations using Azure Migrate, ASR, or third-party tools.
- Automate deployments using PowerShell, ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Monitor and manage Azure resources using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Maintain technical documentation such as HLD, LLD, runbooks, SOPs, and cost reports.
- Mentor and manage a team of IT professionals, assigning tasks and ensuring project delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure strategies with business goals.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and Microsoft support for escalations and solution validation.
- Manage Helpdesk operations and assist with escalations and support for junior technicians.
- Administer Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) environments.
- Design, migrate, and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD) environments.
- Manage server roles including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, and file/print services.
- Apply strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls) and manage related devices (routers, switches, load balancers).
- Utilize virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and cloud-native tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices for cloud and on-prem workloads.
- Perform database migrations (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL) and manage performance, backup, and recovery.
- Develop new infrastructure and Azure service offerings to enhance business capabilities.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure features and industry trends.
- Conduct workshops, presentations, and client-facing sessions to showcase solutions and project outcomes.
- Support pre-sales activities including solution design, RFP responses, and customer engagements.
