Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Azure Infrastructure Consultant with a focus on Azure Well-Architected Framework, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, and Azure Arc. This role is pivotal in helping our partners design, implement, and optimize secure, compliant, and high-performing Azure environments. As a consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through best practices and ensuring their Azure infrastructure aligns with the highest standards of governance and architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Architecture & Design:
- Well-Architected Framework (WAF) Expertise: Lead the design and review of Azure solutions, ensuring they align with the Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework. Focus on delivering secure, reliable, and scalable architectures that meet client needs.
- Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Integration: Utilize Azure Arc to extend Azure management and governance across on-premises, multi-cloud, and edge environments, ensuring seamless integration and consistent policies.
2. Governance & Compliance:
- Azure Policy Management: Develop and enforce Azure Policies to ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry regulations. Customize policies to address specific client needs, such as cost management, security, and resource consistency.
- Security & Compliance Assurance: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that all Azure environments meet stringent security and compliance requirements.
3. Monitoring & Optimization:
- Azure Monitor Utilization: Implement and configure Azure Monitor to track, analyze, and optimize the performance, availability, and security of client environments. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Performance Tuning & Cost Optimization: Regularly review monitoring data to identify opportunities for performance enhancements and cost savings, ensuring clients get the most value from their Azure investments.
4. Client Engagement & Advisory:
- Strategic Consulting: Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the complexities of Azure infrastructure. Provide tailored advice on architecture, governance, and optimization strategies that align with business goals.
- Training & Enablement: Empower client teams by delivering training on Azure best practices, governance tools, and monitoring solutions. Ensure clients are equipped to manage and optimize their environments effectively.
5. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
- Detailed Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of architectures, policies, and monitoring configurations for client reference and future scalability.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to internal and external knowledge bases by sharing insights, best practices, and innovations in Azure infrastructure management.
Technical Skills & Experience Required:
- Azure Well-Architected Framework: Deep understanding and practical experience with the Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework, particularly in designing secure, reliable, and efficient solutions.
- Azure Policy Expertise: Proven experience in creating, managing, and enforcing Azure Policies across diverse environments to ensure governance and compliance.
- Azure Mastery: Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure infrastructure, with deep expertise in Azure Policy, Azure Stack, Azure Backup, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Azure Monitor & Azure Arc: Strong background in implementing Azure Monitor for performance and security monitoring and using Azure Arc for hybrid and multi-cloud management.
