Azure Devops Intern

We are looking for a highly motivated Azure DevOps Intern who is eager to learn and work on real-world cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation workflows.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about cloud computing, DevOps practices, and scalable systems, and who enjoys solving problems through automation.

As an intern, you will work closely with experienced DevOps engineers and gain hands-on exposure to Azure, Azure DevOps, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting while supporting modern application delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, IAM).
• Support the creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Work with Git repositories and follow best practices for version control and branching.
• Help automate infrastructure and deployments using Terraform.
• Write and maintain basic automation scripts using Python / PowerShell / Bash.
• Assist in containerization and deployment workflows (Docker basics).
• Monitor applications and infrastructure using Azure Monitor / Log Analytics.
• Participate in debugging pipeline failures, deployment issues, and infrastructure problems.
• Document configurations, processes, and learnings clearly for team reference.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to support releases.

Top Non-Negotiable Skills

• Azure Fundamentals: Basic understanding of core Azure services including compute, networking, storage, and identity, with awareness of how cloud resources are provisioned and managed.
• Azure DevOps: Familiarity with Azure DevOps services such as Repos, Pipelines, and Boards, and understanding how code moves from commit to deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
• CI/CD Concepts: Clear understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment principles, including build, test, and release workflows.
• Git & Version Control: Strong grasp of Git fundamentals including repositories, commits, branching strategies, pull requests, and collaboration workflows.
• Terraform (Foundational): Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and ability to read, understand, and modify simple Terraform configurations.
• Scripting (Python / PowerShell): Ability to write basic scripts to automate repetitive tasks, perform system operations, and support deployment workflows.
• Linux Fundamentals: Comfort with basic Linux commands, file systems, process management, and troubleshooting in a server environment.
• Containers (Docker Basics): Understanding of containerization concepts, Docker images, containers, and their role in modern application deployment.
• Monitoring & Logging (Foundational): Awareness of monitoring and logging concepts using tools like Azure Monitor or Log Analytics to observe system health and troubleshoot issues.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to approach infrastructure and pipeline issues methodically, identify root causes, and apply logical solutions.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication to collaborate with engineers, explain issues, and document configurations and learnings.
• Ownership: Willingness to take responsibility for assigned DevOps tasks and follow them through to completion with accountability.
• Seeker Mindset: Curiosity and eagerness to learn new cloud technologies, DevOps tools, and best practices.
• Passionate Towards Automation & Cloud: Strong interest in cloud infrastructure, automation, and building reliable, scalable systems.
• Ability to Comprehend: Quick grasp of new tools, environments, pipelines, and technical concepts to contribute effectively with guidance.

Negotiable Skills

• Internship experience or academic projects involving Azure or DevOps tools.
• Exposure to Kubernetes (basic understanding).
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, or cloud security basics.
• Certification or coursework in Azure / Cloud / DevOps.

Qualification/ Education:

• Freshers from reputed colleges with a degree in Computer Science. Engineering, or related fields.
