Primary Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer
About The Opportunity
A staffing partner focused on placing cloud engineering talent into Enterprise IT services and product engineering organisations supporting digital transformation initiatives. We hire for mission-critical Azure Cloud and DevOps programmes that deliver scalable, secure, and automated delivery pipelines for global customers.
Location: India (On-site) candidate will be required to work from client locations as assigned.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain Azure-based CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines) to automate build, test and release processes.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and ARM templates to provision and manage Azure resources reliably and reproducibly.
- Containerise applications and manage orchestration on AKS/Kubernetes using Docker images and Helm charts; optimise deployment patterns for resilience and scalability.
- Integrate source control and branching strategies with Git, enforce PR validations and pipeline quality gates to maintain release integrity.
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Prometheus/Grafana) and troubleshoot production deployments to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with development, security and QA teams to embed security (DevSecOps), secrets management (Key Vault) and compliance checks into pipelines.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and authoring Azure Pipelines (YAML).
- Strong expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform and ARM templates.
- Containerisation and orchestration experience: Docker and Kubernetes/AKS.
- Scripting and automation with PowerShell and Bash for deployment tasks.
- Solid Git workflows knowledge and experience implementing CI/CD release management in production.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools and troubleshooting live systems.
Preferred
- Experience with Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- Familiarity with security tooling and automated scanning: Key Vault, SonarQube, SAST/DAST integration.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Administrator Associate.
