Role Overview:
We are hiring a Senior Developer / Architect to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of our next-generation AI and data platforms. You will own architectural decisions across compute, storage, data, and AI layers — from selecting the right graph and vector database technologies to orchestrating multi-component systems on Azure with full IaC and CI/CD discipline.
This role is for a seasoned technologist who is equally comfortable whiteboarding system architecture, writing production code, and mentoring engineers. You will be the technical anchor for the team and a key voice in shaping our platform strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Architecture & Design
- Define and own end-to-end system architecture for distributed, cloud-native, AI-enabled platforms.
- Drive technology selection across the stack — graph databases, vector databases, orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, Airflow), API layers, caching, and messaging.
- Design integration strategies across microservices, data pipelines, AI/ML components, and third-party systems.
- Establish architectural standards, design patterns, reference implementations, and governance frameworks.
2.Cloud & Infrastructure
- Architect and oversee Azure-based infrastructure with a focus on scalability, security, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Set the standard for Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform — module design, environment promotion, multi-tenancy, and compliance.
- Define and approve CI/CD strategies for application, infrastructure, and ML model deployments.
- Lead the deployment architecture for graph databases, vector stores, and APIs in production.
3.Engineering Leadership
- Provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews, architecture reviews, and prototyping.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers; build technical depth across the team.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, and Project Management to translate business goals into technical roadmaps.
- Drive architectural decision records (ADRs), evaluate trade-offs, and communicate clearly with both engineering and executive stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills:
- 9–12 years of progressive software engineering experience, including 3+ years as a Solution / Software Architect.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, identity, data services, AI services).
- Strong, hands-on experience with Terraform and large-scale IaC implementations.
- Proven track record of designing and deploying graph databases (Neo4j, Cosmos DB Gremlin, ArangoDB) and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, Azure AI Search, pgvector) in production.
- Strong programming background in Python, Java, .NET, or Node.js.
- Experience designing and deploying REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Mastery of CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and modern release engineering.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, and AI/ML application architectures (RAG, agentic workflows, embeddings, knowledge graphs).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical decision-making skills.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience designing GenAI / LLM-based platforms (RAG, fine-tuning, agent orchestration).
- Familiarity with MLOps tooling (MLflow, Azure ML, Kubeflow).
- Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate.
- Experience working in regulated industries (BFSI, healthcare, etc.).
- Open-source contributions or technical publications/talks.
