Azure Developer

Location: India – Remote

Work Hours: Standard India Business Hours

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 6 months initially, with potential extension to 12 months

Our client, the parent company of Presidio, is looking to add Azure Developers to support their growing overnight coverage requirements. The selected resources will work closely with team members based in India and will be responsible for developing, automating, securing, and supporting Azure infrastructure and platform services.

We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in Azure Infrastructure as Code, Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Entra ID, Azure AI services, and cloud security best practices.

Core Technical Skills

Azure Infrastructure as Code

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Bicep and ARM templates
• Ability to develop modular and reusable IaC templates
• Experience with What-If validation
• Familiarity with Azure Verified Modules (AVM) and AVM-wrapping patterns
• Understanding of infrastructure drift and template reconciliation

Azure DevOps

• Strong experience developing Azure DevOps YAML pipelines
• Experience with:
• Multi-stage pipelines
• Environment approvals/gates
• Service connections
• Workload Identity Federation (WIF/OIDC)
• Experience implementing pipeline-driven deployments
• Ability to incorporate drift detection and What-If validation into deployment pipelines

PowerShell

• Strong PowerShell 7+ scripting experience
• Security-conscious scripting practices
• Experience with:
• Managed Identity
• Service Principal authentication
• Azure Key Vault
• Structured logging
• Must avoid plaintext credentials and follow secure authentication practices

Microsoft Entra ID

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience with:
• App registrations
• Microsoft Graph API
• Azure RBAC
• Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
• Conditional Access concepts
• Exchange Online application access policies

Azure CLI & Resource Graph

• Hands-on experience with Azure CLI
• Experience using Azure Resource Graph and KQL for querying and troubleshooting Azure resources

Azure Networking

Working knowledge of:

• Private Endpoints
• DNS forwarding
• Network Security Groups (NSGs)
• Firewalls
• Private-by-default networking concepts

Azure AI Platform

Experience with Azure AI platform services, including:

• Azure AI Foundry
• Azure AI Search
• Azure Cosmos DB
• Azure OpenAI
• Private networking for AI services
• Understanding of service quotas, throttling, and related limitations

Datadog

• Experience authoring Datadog monitors
• Familiarity with:
• JSON monitor definitions
• Datadog tag conventions
• Query/DSL conventions
