Azure DB Architect - Migration

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze on-premises and Azure transactional database environments such as Oracle, SQL Server, COSMOS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra and evaluate migration feasibility to Azure.
• Develop and enhance database PLSQL/TSQL scripts to facilitate migration from source to target databases.
• Identify workarounds for specific issues and corner scenarios encountered during migration.
• Develop test plans and test cases to validate database readiness post-migration.
• Document detailed migration design, steps, and processes to ensure smooth migration from Development to Production environments.
• Optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex issues across multiple database platforms.
• Plan and implement HA/DR and monitoring setups including backup, restore, replication, and failover strategies.
• Collaborate with teams for migration planning, architecture design, and post-migration support.
