Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines using ADF, Databricks and Synapse
- Lead data engineering best practices across the team, including estimation, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines
- Manage large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes
- Ensure data quality and governance
- Collaborate closely with Architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions aligned with business needs
- Implement and enforce security, privacy, and compliance policies in the data architecture
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and skill development
- Implement performance improvement measures on team productivity and code effectiveness
Mandatory Skills
- 8+ years of data engineering experience with a minimum of 4 years on Microsoft Azure
- Deep hands-on expertise with:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Lake (Gen2)
- Azure SQL Server
- Unity Catalog
- Advance SQL, PySpark and Python programming skills
- Strong understanding of data modelling, ELT, Data Warehousing, and big data architecture
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (eg: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Solid understanding of data security and role-based access control
