Job Summary
Detail-oriented and innovative Azure Data Engineer with hands-on experience designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure cloud ecosystem. Skilled in building end-to-end data workflows leveraging Fabric Data Factory, Data Engineering (Lakehouses), Synapse experiences, and Power BI. Experienced in modeling and managing large datasets using OneLake, Delta Lake, PySpark, and SQL to enable real-time analytics and business intelligence. Adept at collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure, high-performance data architectures and automated solutions aligned with enterprise governance and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouses, and Synapse experiences.
Develop and manage OneLake-based data architectures, including Delta Lake tables, partitioning, and medallion frameworks to support enterprise analytics.
Implement and optimize data transformation logic using PySpark, SQL, and Fabric Notebooks for batch and streaming workloads.
Integrate data from on-premise and cloud platforms using Fabric connectors, ingestion frameworks, and orchestration pipelines.
Collaborate with analytics teams, Power BI developers, and business stakeholders to enable semantic models, reporting, and self-service BI.
Apply data security, access control, and governance using Purview, workspace roles, lineage tracking, and data classification.
Implement automation, version control, and CI/CD processes through Git integration, Fabric pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, optimizing performance, cost, and reliability across development and production environments.
Support enterprise data platform modernization initiatives by migrating legacy data systems to Microsoft Fabric and Azure ecosystems.
Preferred Qualifications and Expectations
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Pipelines, and Synapse Data Engineering experiences.
Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, PySpark, and Delta Lake frameworks.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, semantic models, and data modeling concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling).
Experience building enterprise-grade data solutions in Azure servicessuch as ADF, Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, or Cosmos DB.
Familiarity with data governance and security practices, including Purview, RBAC, encryption policies, and compliance frameworks.
Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment methodologies.
