Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Development

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks with strong hands-on coding in Python and PySpark
  • Build and manage Azure Data Factory pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration
  • Implement ETL and ELT patterns for structured and semi-structured data

Data Ingestion & Integration Management

  • Drive and monitor end-to-end data ingestion activities including ingestion, classification, and lineage
  • Manage multiple parallel data ingestions while ensuring quality, timelines, and compliance
  • Coordinate with source system owners and external vendors to ensure successful data delivery

DevOps & Deployment

  • Use Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment management
  • Manage work items, releases, and tracking of delivery milestones
  • Ensure smooth promotion of code across environments

Stakeholder Coordination & Delivery Ownership

  • Act as a single point of accountability for delivery from data engineers and source-side stakeholders
  • Collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders to plan, execute, and oversee ingestion activities
  • Provide regular status updates, reporting, and risk tracking

Documentation & Business Analysis

  • Document data ingestion requirements including mappings, business rules, and transformation logic
  • Prepare high-quality documentation and presentations for technical and business audiences
