Description

As a Data Platform Engineer – Cosmos FX MIS, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database-centric solutions for a global FX risk data platform. You will work extensively with Oracle 19c, SQL, and ETL pipelines while contributing to the platform's modernization and Azure cloud migration. The role requires ownership, collaboration, and a proactive approach to delivering scalable, high-performance data solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize database-centric solutions for a high-volume data platform.Take end-to-end ownership of database solutions, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability.Develop and enhance ETL/data pipelines supporting critical FX risk data.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues proactively.Contribute to Azure cloud migration initiatives, including Databricks adoption.Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve platform performance.Collaborate with global engineering teams, analysts, and business stakeholders.Support continuous improvement and modernization of the data platform.

Skills and Qualifications

Professional & Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 19c in a production environment.Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.Experience with ETL pipelines and large-scale data processing systems.Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or C#).Exposure to Azure technologies such as Azure SQL, Data Factory, or cloud migration projects.Knowledge of Databricks is an added advantage.Experience with .NET and SSAS is desirable.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Applications Development.- This position is based at our Pune office.- A 15 years full time education is required.Experience working on enterprise-scale data platforms is preferred.Exposure to FX Risk, Financial Services, or Capital Markets is an advantage.Opportunity to work on a global business-critical platform and contribute to a major Azure cloud transformation.Strong ownership mindset, proactive attitude, and willingness to learn are essential.
