Azure data engineer

Description

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing data solutions using Azure technologies, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality data products.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data solutions on Azure platforms including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Factory.
• Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into a centralized data warehouse.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide necessary data solutions.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and testing processes.
• Optimize data models and query performance to improve efficiency and effectiveness of data retrieval.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and resolve issues as they arise.

Skills and Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Factory.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and possibly Scala or R.
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, or similar.
• Understanding of data governance and security practices in Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
